- Review of Bold City Heating & Air in Jacksonville FL by Josh P: Careful, folks. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but in this case, I would steer clear of Bold City AC. They marked up two capacitors over 800 dollars today (you can buy them from the manufacturer for anywhere from $50-$120. They charged me $586 per capacitor. Definitely predatory service calls. I called the company and was basically told that they could not let me talk to management, only to dispatch. They did, however, say that the owner will be calling me tomorrow. I will update you all on how that conversation goes. Steer clear of this company. When I spoke with a technician, they basically stated that the "company loses money on every service call" and that is the justification for marking up components by over 700% on a 30 minute repair job (and that didn't even include labor). So, since they run an inefficient business, their solution is to pass along massive component/repair part mark ups to consumers. BEWARE!!!!! Since I am unable to reply, I will edit my review. First off, I did not threaten anyone. That is a wild accusation. I threatened to leave a bad review, which I did. Secondly, your technician was at my house for a cleaning/inspection which was part of the annual plan that I pay for. The tech, upon inspecting, installed the two parts in less than thirty minutes. They were not there for a trouble call. They were there for maintenance and (obviously) an upsell. I find it amusing that you will attack me for sharing a negative review of your company. The owner or management has yet to call me back. Also, very unprofessional of you to tell me to call Amazon next time my unit breaks down. Again....buyer beware. This company not only upcharges astronomical prices, but look how they come after their paying customers when we share complaints. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

- Review of Bold City Heating & Air in Jacksonville FL by Connie Bones: RT, Trenton and Cannon were my team for a complete overhaul of HVAC. They arrived right on time. They had access to my home and backyard. I was not able to be there for 3 hours. I felt safe to leave them there. I got home and most of the system was in, but the final touches were left. That was the duct cleaning. Very pleasant and professional young men. I helped them clean up so that they could do the hard stuff, but they kept insisting I not do it. Many hands make light work and the job was done. My house is cooling and I’m a happy camper.
